First the internet did not work on our netbook, but the owner did everything to get it work. He was really helpful and patient. The rooms were spacious.

The low price and no trouble

    shower too small

Room had a terrible musty smell. The pillows and beds were very hard and uncomfortable.

Located close to the Harbor and restaurants and shops.

The decor was a bit outdated. The towels were not real soft, plus the little extras (soap, shampoo, etc.) were very small. The tv set was very old, but worked great.

It was very clean, and the room was bigger than expected. The price was right.

This mini-vacation/honeymoon was for my new husband and I. The web page (Booked.net) stated there was one (1) room available at that price! Not true. However, upon arrival there were more empty room than occupied. The web page indicates a aaa discount which they do not honor, and merely blame the misinformation on Booked.net. The first night we had to ask for towels, body soap, toilet tissue and kleenex. There was a toilet tissue holder in the bathroom which holds two (2) rolls. There was only one (1) roll with less than 1/4 of the roll on it. We had to request coffee, creamer, sugar, though the 4 cup coffee maker was provided. We changed into our swimwear to go down to the spa and was informed by the female manage "the spa is out of order and been that way for over two years." In fact the door was locked and children's bicycles were in plain sight in the locked spa room. The paint on the ceiling in the batroom was flaking and chipping, the carpeting was severly stained, the overall general appearance of the room was poor. We recieved no room service (though the "Maid Service Requested Sign") was properly placed on the outside of the door. The bed went unmade, dirty towles on the floor, no toilet tissue, etc. We had to request towels, toilet tissue and coffee yet again on night. IThe continental breaWe went to the office for the continental breakfast which consisted of pre-wrapped Swenhard's Pastries (4 in total on a tray), lukewarm coffee, no milk. I am disabled and require assistance in walking. There was no elevator to our knowledge when asked, nor any "rooms available" on the first floor. The service and cleanliness was so poor, we will never recommend the Villager to anyone. We are so disappointed I would request pay for a comp room at another location for for us to enjoy our honeymoon. It is certainly not a place we would ever recommend to anyone under any circumstances. Extremely disappointed as everything was severally over-rated.

what i liked about the villager motel was that it was very close to the bay and shopping. Also the towels looked fairly new because they were thick.

the beds were absolutely 100% uncomfortable, the beds were hard and seemed like you were sleeping on the springs. we all woke up every morning with back pain. the box spring was stained with some type of red. as you are showering the cold water goes away and you get burned with the hot water.

Location is very good, in tourist town Morro Bay. Excellent (basic) restaurant directly accross the street (breakfast, lunch, dinner): "the Hungry Fisherman".

Kind of expensive fot what's offered. Rooms are in need of maintenance. Wi-fi reception in room very bad. Hot/cold wat controls in shower very flakey.

    We liked the location, only

The price was high. It is not worth one star. Donn´t book this motek on your holiday! The breakfast was light coffee in the office with threee places to sit and only bread and jam and a cake. The rooms are run down, but the beds are o.k. and clean. For half the price the motel could be o.k.

    Location

Needs cosmetic updates. Bathroom was quite shabby, wallpaper was past it's prime, mattress had buttons popping through & water in shower difficult to control temperature.

The staff was very friendly. The room was clean. It was quiet in the morning which meant the maid service wasn't dragging a very noisey cart like they do at a lot of motels The heating was in the ceiling which made it much more quite. The room was large and that was nice. I liked the large number of channels I could get on the tv. I will definitely stay there again and recommend it to my friends and family. It's hard to find a economic motel that is clean as well and this motel showed pride in ownership.

Even though having heat in the ceiling made it more quiet, it took about a half hour to feel the heat. I was cold waiting for the warmth. Knowing the price of the motel was reasonable, I figured it was worth waiting for the room to get warm.

Clean, especially compared to other motels. Good staff and service

The shower floor was quite damaged..but not a big deal

    Convenient location and great price.

Staff was very rude at check in and refused to grant my request for additional pillows even though I had requested them when I made my original reservation online several days before. Clean room but definitely in need of renovations.

Our room was spacious and comfortably decorated. The peple in the office wre accomdating and very nice.

This walls. The people on either side of us talked loudly with screaming children. People upstairs walked quite heavily and were loud . Disappointed that the room did not have a small refrigerator and microwave as we have become accustomed in every other motel in Morro Bay. I have medication that needs to be refrigerated and it was difficult. I also have special dietary needs and generlly travel with my own food which needs to be heated. without a microwave I was unable to do that and without a refrig I had to toss the food out because Icould not store it.
